This role will work closely with the Sales and Business Development team and customers to understand validation, NREs and other project cost requirements. The role will also collaborate with process and project engineering teams to support process development, guidance, and overall adherence to project scopes and costs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage RFQ opportunities and meet quotation deadlines by developing detailed cost estimates for silicone and rubber molded components across LSR, HCR, compression, transfer, and injection molding processes.
  • Calculate material usage, cycle times, cavitation, press sizing, labor, scrap, secondary operations, post-cure needs, packaging costs, and develop multiple pricing scenarios based on volume tiers, tooling strategies, and COI variations.
  • Review blueprints, customer requirements, models, prints, and specifications to create BOMs, routing structures, formal quotations, assumptions/exceptions, lead times, commercial terms, and post-award modifications.
  • Conduct feasibility and manufacturability analyses considering engineering drawings, materials, labor, equipment, tooling, capital costs, tolerances, durometer requirements, and production risks.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability feedback on gate/vent strategy, parting lines, wall thickness, draft, flash control, cure behavior, and collaborate with Tooling Engineering on optimal mold strategies.
