Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Finance and focus on the Hematology Recurring Revenue and Urinalysis business units.

Key responsibilities include:

Prepare the annual budgets and monthly forecasts of the P&L for the Hematology Recurring Revenue and Urinalysis business units.

Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analytics for specific product lines, customer agreements, ROI initiatives, and other ad‑hoc reports.

Analyze financial results versus forecast, budget, and prior year, identifying key variances and providing timely analysis with commentary to the FP&A team.

Maintain and improve current forecasting models, and create new models as required.

Develop a deep understanding of Sysmex’s business model and product offerings to provide insightful and actionable KPIs.

Compile, evaluate, and transform large data sets from various systems and databases for use in financial and business analysis.

Assist Finance and other departments in assessing financial business cases for ROI initiatives, business development activities, process and efficiency improvements, and other key projects identified by the Senior Finance Manager.

Build and maintain strong business partnerships through effective networking.

Assist the Senior Finance Manager with special projects and duties as assigned.

Percentage of Travel: 5%

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field; 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, or a related business field.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
Experience with SAP, Oracle Planning, and Power BI is desirable.
Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint.
Comfort and skill in data mining and predictive modeling.
Strong problem‑seeking skills and resolution‑seeking persistence.
Financial analysis and decision support expertise.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, highly organized, and ability to multitask.
Ability to work well on both large and small cross‑functional teams.

The salary range for this role is $78,540 to $123,420. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package also includes a choice of health care plans (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave, and a 401(K) for eligible employees.
