What We’re Looking For

Zebra Ventures accelerates sustainable growth by investing in new technologies, businesses, and talent. The Senior Investment Associate works across deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution—ranging from landscape research, thematic development, company prospecting, term sheet drafting, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, to preparation of investment committee materials.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify start‑up investment targets that align with Zebra’s key investment themes and areas of strategic interest.
  • Perform product, business, and financial due diligence on companies of interest, evaluating owners, product roadmaps, customer analysis, business models, go‑to‑market strategies, and financial projections.
  • Build and manage relationships with external partners to generate deal flow (venture capital firms, accelerators, strategic corporate partners, and entrepreneurs).
  • Lead financial modeling and sensitivity analysis for investment targets and portfolio companies.
  • Maintain internal reporting frameworks for deal pipeline updates and portfolio performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal business unit partners to understand strategic needs and portfolio or technology gaps.
  • Monitor adjacent technology industries to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Generate investment memos, monthly activity reports, customer presentations, ecosystem landscapes and strategies, and quarterly portfolio update reports for diverse audiences.
  • Prepare Quarterly and ad-hoc presentations to Zebra’s Executive Leadership Team on portfolio companies, deal activity, and potential investment targets.
  • Organize and facilitate working sessions with business unit evaluation teams and stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and perform due diligence.
  • Monitor and help manage relationships with existing portfolio companies and provide connections to internal business unit teams.
  • Act as an ambassador for Zebra Ventures at external conferences and networking events.
  • May support M&A work on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years of experience with AI tools, M&A, and investment banking.
Preferred Skills
  • Strategic thinking about products, markets, business models, and competitive landscapes relevant to Zebra’s business.
  • Deep interest in startups, technology, and staying informed of the latest technologies and trends.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, entrepreneurs, and executives.
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information for executive consumption.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency with valuation and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Compensation
  • Pay Range: $96,800.00 – $ per year.
  • Annual Incentive Compensation:
    Target equal to 10% of base pay.
