The Service Advisor is responsible for delivering high-quality client service, financial analysis, and portfolio management support. This role involves direct client interaction, reviewing tax returns, assisting with tax planning strategies, and leveraging financial planning tools such as eMoney to analyze and maintain comprehensive client plans. The Service Advisor works closely with the Lead Advisor to ensure accurate implementation of recommendations and execution of trades.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Meet with clients regularly to review financial plans, updates, and recommendations
- Collaborate with advisors and internal teams to refine financial plans and ensure alignment with client objectives
- Support ongoing plan reviews and updates based on life events, market changes, and regulatory updates
- Review client tax returns to identify planning opportunities, tax efficiencies, and potential risks
- Assist the Lead Advisor in implementing tax-efficient financial plans
- Prepare and present planning scenarios related to tax impact, including strategies such as RMD planning and tax optimization
- Assist the Lead Advisor in developing customized financial strategies aligned with clients' short- and long-term goals, including retirement income and wealth accumulation
- Analyze financial data to support recommendations around investments, retirement planning, and cash flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client financial data within eMoney and internal systems
- Identify gaps in financial plans and recommend actionable solutions to improve outcomes
- Prepare and present planning scenarios and projections (e.g., retirement income modeling and cash flow analysis)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or wealth management
- Experience with financial planning tools such as eMoney strongly preferred
- Familiarity with retirement account types (Traditional, Roth, SEP, SIMPLE IRAs) required
- Experience reviewing tax returns and applying insights to financial planning is a plus
- Strong client service and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in both operational and analytical work
- Ability to balance client interaction with transactional and analytical responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM system, Black diamond portfolio management, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Active Series 65 required
- CFP® certification or actively pursuing CFP® designation preferred
- CPA designation a plus
