Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join our team on a part time basis. You will work with our multi-disciplinary team to enable the individuals we support to reach their potential with a creative, individualised and holistic approach. This will involve working directly with support teams, in house clinicians and external agencies.
This role is available on a part‑time contract or on a self‑employed consultancy basis. Salary negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:- Support MDT to assess and identify speech, language and communication needs for the individuals we support
- Monitor and adapt support strategies as required
- Produce evidence-based reports on SALT requirements and progress on outcomes
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues to achieve more effective communication with individuals we support
- Engagement with families and external stakeholders as appropriate
- HCPC registration as Speech and Language Therapist
- Knowledge of communication needs associated with autism, learning disabilities, developmental trauma and acquired brain injury
- Ability to engage and work collaboratively with support teams
- Experience in delivery of training on 1:1 and small group basis
- Skilled in writing assessments and reports for sharing with external professionals
- Experience of working as part of a MDT
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Overtime paid within 24hrs for qualifying shifts
