Role Overview
Seeking a hands-on Onshore Data Engineering Lead with strong expertise in SQL, Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI to lead the development, support, and enhancement of enterprise data platforms. The role requires direct interaction with client stakeholders and coordination with offshore teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support large-scale data pipelines and complex business functionalities.
Build and optimize solutions using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Own production support, incident resolution, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Lead and coordinate offshore teams, ensuring delivery quality and adherence to timelines.
Identify opportunities for automation, performance optimization, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
Expert-level SQL (query optimization, data modeling, performance tuning).
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (GCP preferred; non-Azure Databricks required).
Strong PySpark development experience.
Strong Power BI expertise (DAX, dashboards, data modeling, reporting).
Experience building and supporting large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data platforms.

Experience with production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience
8+ years of IT experience.
5+ years in Data Engineering and Analytics.
Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models.
