Purchaser/Buyer

We are seeking Purchasing Buyers to join a collaborative and growing team in Lincolnshire, IL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment where communication, organization, and problem-solving are critical to success.

Full-time, on-site in Lincolnshire, IL.

Hours:

8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch (11:30am – 12:00pm).

Salary: $45,000–$55,000

The Purchasing Buyer will be responsible for managing inventory levels, placing purchase orders, coordinating supplier and freight activities, and partnering closely with internal teams to ensure product availability and smooth operations. This role is highly collaborative and requires excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Support inventory planning while balancing business needs and inventory investment.
• Manage purchasing activities with both domestic and international suppliers.
• Track customer forecasts and inventory requirements to help reduce backorders.
• Coordinate ocean and air freight shipments.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers, factories, and freight forwarders regarding delivery schedules, containers, and shipment status.
• Monitor incoming shipments and proactively address delays or supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
• Partner with Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to support business needs.
• Communicate product availability, shipment updates, and inventory concerns to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving order issues, inventory discrepancies, and supply chain challenges.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure a smooth flow of products and information.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Track and document cost increases, freight impacts, raw material fluctuations, and other supply chain-related changes.
• Ensure information is updated and communicated appropriately to key stakeholders.
• Support reporting and data management activities as needed.

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
