Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part Time Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team at Serenity Estates of Lincolnshire. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality wound care services to our residents, ensuring their overall health and well-being. This part time opportunity requires three days/week (includes rotating weekends and rotating holidays). Candidates could be full time, by working the floor as a unit nurse on wound care off days.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide wound care services to residents, including assessment, treatment, and education
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans to promote healing and prevent further complications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and document resident progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the medical team
  • Educate residents and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Current RN or LPN licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Wound Care certification highly desired.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in wound care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact in the lives of others

This role is part time, specific days per week (includes rotating weekends and holidays). 4 days per pay period.
