Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer
Payrate: $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
Responsibilities- Leads requirements for moderately complex firmware design projects.
- Completes all phases of moderately complex firmware design projects.
- Reviews firmware test results and root cause analysis.
- Resolves highly complex technical issues.
- Reviews for changes or upgrades to existing firmware designs.
- Develops new solutions to unique problems.
- Identifies issues and makes recommendations for complex problems.
- Make modifications to or upgrade existing firmware designs via patches and generate new code.
- Enhances and improvements exist to apply to new solutions. - Develops positive relationships with other company functions involved in the design, test, and implementation processes.
- Make recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve product quality.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree required. - Preferred Work Experience (years):
Bachelor's +6 years of experience. Master's +4 years of experience - Key Skills and
Competencies:
Experienced knowledge in C and C++ in an embedded Linux OS.
- FreeRTOS experience
- Visual Studio experience
- MQTT
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $45.00- $50.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
