Job Summary:

In this position you will provide strategic leadership for all procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that support business growth, operations excellence, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction. The Director partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, optimize inventory investment, strengthen suppler partnerships, and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Lead procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, and material management functions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supply chain effectiveness, inventory performance, supplier performance and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that improve service levels, reduce costs, mitigate risks and strengthen overall supply chain performance.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership regarding supply chain opportunities, challenges, and market conditions.
  • Direct sourcing and procurement activities to ensure cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that support quality, delivery, innovation, and cost objectives.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and supplier agreements to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Establish supplier performance management programs.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity fluctuations, capacity constraints and supply risks to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Drive supplier diversification.
  • Oversee inventory planning and control strategies to balance material availability with inventory investment objectives.
  • Ensure effective utilization of ERP, MRP and inventory management systems to support operational requirements.
  • Direct forecasting, demand planning, replenishment, and material flow processes.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, inventory turns, carrying costs, and obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight of warehouse, receiving, storage, material handling, shipping, and distribution functions.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-preforming procurement, planning, inventory and warehouse teams.
  • Establish departmental goals and accountability measures aligned with company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaborations, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, materials management, or operations leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing multiple supply chain functions and teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, inventory control, production planning, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management and supply chain planning systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and business analytics tools.
  • Certification in CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP a plus.
