Welcome to Bosch. The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full‑time associates in a 5‑shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft.
with 12,000 SKUs. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S. We are committed to a diverse workforce – EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.
- Support the startup and implementation of the marking operation of a new production line in the existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
- During startup, learn the process and assist in developing local work instructions and standards. This position will require extended overseas travel for training.
- Actively communicate with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
- Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
- Load/unload, operate, adjust, change‑over, maintain multiple machines, conduct 5S and aid in troubleshooting. Meet daily targets and raise escalation in case of deviations.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in brazing processes (or similar).
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication skills – spoken, written, interpersonal.
- Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines and technology.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, overtime.
- Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
- Proper hand dexterity.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to read and prepare orders.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Math skills appropriate to a machining environment.
- Ability to read product prints and verify product match.
- Proficient in the use of measuring devices.
- Set up machines using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
- Identify and assess common problems with machines, troubleshoot.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures.
- Understand and follow procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
