Your TasksCNC Machine Operation
- Operate CNC machines in accordance with established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Load and unload parts, components, and raw materials as required.
- Start, stop, and monitor CNC equipment throughout the production cycle.
- Monitor machine performance and identify abnormal operating conditions.
- Verify correct materials, tooling, and production documentation before and during operation.
- Maintain established production rates while meeting safety and quality requirements.
- Follow approved machine parameters and processes; programming and machine setup are not primary responsibilities of this position.
- Notify the appropriate support personnel of machine alarms, equipment malfunctions, tooling concerns, or process abnormalities.
- Accurately complete required production documentation and system transactions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate CNC machinery following established procedures.
- Basic understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production documentation, and quality requirements.
- Ability to perform basic dimensional inspections using required measuring equipment.
- Ability to recognize machine alarms, abnormal conditions, and quality concerns.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to work with measurements and tolerances.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic production transactions as required.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a manufacturing team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of CNC machine operating experience.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other dimensional inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with standardized work, 5S, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience working within established safety and quality management systems.
