We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month‑end close, while overseeing Accounts Payable operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely reporting, and ensuring compliance in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and proper transaction classification, and expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Prior exposure to a manufacturing or distribution environment are required, along with the ability to stay highly organized and manage complex reconciliations and high transaction volumes with accuracy.
- Journal Entries & General Ledger:
Prepare and record journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accuracy of financial records. - Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and detailed financial data. - Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial statements. - Month/Year-End Close:
Support the closing process, including accruals and overall maintenance of financial accounts. - Budgeting & Analysis:
Provide data for budgets, analyze financial trends, variances, and identify cost‑saving opportunities. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to GAAP and other financial regulations. - Overseeing AP functions.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in accounting focusing on full cycle accounting processes
- Strong understanding of accounting best practices and internal controls in a manufacturing, distribution, or service environment
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Expert level Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle high volumes of transactions
Monday to Friday, 9‑5 (On‑site)
Salary: $85, D.O.E
