Tax Accountant

Role Overview

The Tax Accountant will work across multiple client engagements, including tax and accounting. The role requires collaboration with clients and continuous learning within a firm that values technical excellence and client relationships.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting;
  Master’s degree in Taxation, a plus.
• Minimum two years in public accounting.
• Proficient in preparing individual 1040 tax returns.
• Proficient in preparing all business tax returns including 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
• Proficient in using Quick Books Online and Quick Books desktop versions.
• Proficiency in accounting/tax software (Lacerte a plus) and MS Office products.
• Excellent at time management and organization.
• Able to produce high quality work in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail and client service.
• Professional, energetic, and flexible.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating with clients.

• Prepare work papers, trial balances, depreciation schedules, account analysis, and worksheets.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns.
• Conduct tax planning and research for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
• Assist clients with business consulting matters including entity selection and succession planning.
• Stay updated on technical accounting standards and changes in tax regulations.
