Welding Sales Specialist
Location:
Islandia, NY (Plant) – Filling industrial
Base Pay: $85k-100k with additional bonus opportunities. Auto allowance and mileage reimbursement.
Based out of Northern NJ or Metro-NYC with frequent travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities- Evaluate customer welding/cutting practices and conduct weld surveys and efficiency analyses to recommend improvements.
- Advance the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to contribute to the growth of capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions.
- Provide knowledgeable support and share expertise on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration.
- Act as a mentor to the wider welding specialist team and provide onsite product and application training for customers.
- Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Collect and report on market trends, industry activities, and customer needs to keep Airgas as a trusted reference and industry leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent formal welding experience.
- Five or more years in B2B or specialized sales.
- Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance.
- Welding engineering degree or military welding training.
- Exposure to technical sales or consultative background.
- 4+ years of experience in the welding or industrial industry.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- Membership in relevant professional societies (AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME, SME).
