System/Network Administrator

Location: Linden, NJ (relocating to East Windsor, NJ) – on site 5 days a week. Candidates must be able to work in Linden during the transition and remain with the company through the move.

The System/Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Key duties include:

• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services, and VPNs.
• Create and maintain a detailed system topology with baseline configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation on system configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Support backup and disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular testing.
• Install, troubleshoot, and update company software and hardware as needed.
• Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
• Ensure all IT system configurations comply with NIST SP 800-series, NISPOM, DAAPM, and RMF.
• Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
• Coordinate with IT lead to close any compliance gaps.

• BS Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science required.
• Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with network equipment such as managed switches and next‑generation firewalls.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Efficient troubleshooting abilities.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently, and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Must be U.S. citizen and eligible for or have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA A+ preferred.
• Experience communicating with management to provide status updates, ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements, and advise on security‑related questions or concerns.
