Position Summary
Food Equipment Technician – General Facilities Maintenance Technician. Join Walmart’s local and regional team to execute routine maintenance, inspections, cleaning and repairs for Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established maintenance schedules and guidelines to uphold safety, functionality and aesthetics.
Position Requirements- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and can pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand, power tools and equipment.
- Use the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders for Support Stores and Store associates.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Walmart‑paid education benefit program (high‑school completion to bachelor’s degrees, English Language and short‑form certificates).
Individual compensation is based on several factors including skill set, experience, job level and other job‑related factors. An additional bonus may be available; details will be disclosed during the interview process. Hourly wage range is $23.00–$42.00 per hour, with additional premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in applicable circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years of experience, or 5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
