Clean Harbors in Kimball, NE is looking for a Container Mechanic to work at Clean Harbors and customer locations such as refineries. The role involves sanding, prep work, inspecting, fabricating, cutting, welding, patching tarps, and replacing tarps on containers. The position requires logging all time and materials into an electronic repair order system and holds a valid driver’s license. A company provided service truck and welding equipment are supplied.

- Perform compliance and safety inspections, correct equipment deficiencies, and conduct preventative maintenance on company‑owned equipment.
- Execute welding, cutting, grinding, mechanical repair, and other metal‑working techniques consistent with the container repair trade.
- Maintain shop housekeeping, building maintenance obligations, welding systems, and general repair equipment.
- Perform surface preparation of equipment prior to painting; apply paint or similar coatings using HVL.P, airless, or manual tooling and processes.
- Fabricate, cut, and weld roll‑off containers.
- Produce quality products while meeting set standards.
- Log all necessary entries of time and materials into the electronic repair order system.
- Keep the company truck clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times.
- Perform other welding duties and tasks as assigned by management and as required by business needs.
- Welding (MIG & Stick) and mechanical experience in a fabrication/repair shop environment.
- Experience performing flat welding with steel is preferred.
- Successful completion of a Structural Welding test.
- Welding Certification is considered an asset.
- Ability and willingness to wear a respirator; must be clean shaven.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean 3‑year driving record.
