- Provide service to customers by overseeing the technicians accurately diagnosing and/or repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, and equipment using special tools and equipment according to Technical Manual procedures
- Provide timely and accurate technical support/information to service office & customers
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work duties
- Communicate problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers, if requested
- Oversee tagging of warranty parts and write warranty stories
- Test drive repaired vehicles
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting, malfunctions on equipment, and repairs
- Use diagnostic software to find and repair the issue
- Distribute repair orders fairly and evenly
- Manage shop workflow
- Review and adjust repair estimates
- Assist with other projects as needed
- 3+ years of experience in a diesel truck shop
- 3+ years in a leadership role or service writer role
- Customer service and leadership qualities
- Driver's License required, CDL a plus
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications
