As an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician
, you will play a key role in safely operating and maintaining Phillips 66 pipeline assets in and around Tremley Point, New Jersey. You will support measurement equipment calibration, pipeline maintenance, leak and spill response, and construction, maintenance, and mechanical integrity projects while maintaining compliance with applicable DOT and OSHA requirements. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment.

What

You’ll Do
  • Provide technical support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and rotating equipment.
  • Perform planned maintenance checks, calibrate measurement equipment, and submit required reports on time.
  • Assist with pump tear-down and rebuild inspections, new pump installations, and rotating equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain technical and administrative records, including drawings, prints, and project reports.
  • Repair minor electrical issues and troubleshoot motor control circuits.
  • Respond to emergencies, participate in emergency response, and perform firefighting duties as required.
  • Supervise, direct, and train contract crews while promoting teamwork across the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in Safety Action Plans and complete all required safety and regulatory training.
  • Maintain effective spare-parts inventory and pursue cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Read and interpret pump curves and P&IDs (process and instrumentation diagrams).
  • Perform other projects or tasks as assigned.
What You’ll Bring – Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent or greater.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
    • Climb up to 50 feet using inclined and vertical steps/ladders.
    • Lift up to 45 pounds.
    • Bend, kneel, knee-stand, and squat for up to 30 minutes at a time.
    • Sit and stand for prolonged periods of more than 2 hours at a time, according to job demands.
    • Work outside in harsh weather conditions.
    • Work alone a high percentage of the time.
    • Travel up to 15% of the time
    • Respond to emergency calls as needed and/or perform firefighting duties
    • Work overtime on an as-needed basis.
    • Work with chemicals, bases, and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat.
    • Wear required personal protective equipment, including fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, and hearing and eye protection.
    • Maintain facial hair in a manner that allows a respirator or face mask to seal properly (i.e. to be clean shaven)
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
  • Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics.
  • Four or more years of relevant industry experience in midstream, pipelines, or terminals, or equivalent military experience.
  • Four or more years of experience with electrical power and components, digital and analog circuitry, one-line drawings and schematics, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rosemount transmitters, OMNI flow computers, and mechanical and rotating equipment.
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency using Microsoft Office and SAP.
Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $80,730 - $131,560.
