Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations in a fast‑growing beauty distribution company. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and storage of goods.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and ready to step into a leadership role—working closely with both warehouse staff and management to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule.
Core Responsibilities- Production & Operations Management:
- Assist in managing daily production, assembly, packing, scheduling, and workflow to meet company goals and deadlines
- Inventory Control:
- Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping processes; maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate cycle counts to ensure stock and bin accuracy
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and support warehouse staff; assist with scheduling and performance management while leading by example on the floor
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment
- Logistics Coordination:
- Work closely with management to ensure timely and accurate dispatch and receipt of goods across U.S. and Canadian distribution channels
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure warehouse equipment (forklifts, stand‑up reach trucks, pallet jacks, scanners, printers) is properly maintained through routine inspections and coordinate repairs when needed
- Experience:
- 1–3+ years of experience in warehouse operations with supervisory responsibilities
- Equipment Certification:
- 2–5 years operating stand‑up reach trucks (certification required or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Leadership:
- Strong team management skills with a hands‑on, lead‑by‑example approach
- Technical
Skills: - Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and Google Workspace (especially spreadsheets)
- Communication:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to supervise/communicate intricate instructions to as many as 40 workers and employees
- Education:
- High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically active warehouse environment
