Position Purpose
Responsible for assembling various components and parts according to detailed documented instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Trim, drill and/or de-flash components using hand tools, power tools and specialized machinery specific to the part/process fixtures.
- Perform regular quality checks and visual inspections to identify and report defects and inconsistencies, adhering to quality standards.
- Ensure proper housekeeping by clearing and cleaning workspace.
- Complete all paperwork pertaining to production neatly and correctly following all quality standards.
- Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience, training and education
- Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
- Attention to detail.
- Capable of using various hand and power tools
- Comprehension of basic math, including fractions, decimals, averages and percentages
- Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment
- Teamwork and collaboration
Candidates must be a "US Person" (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)
Environmental ConditionWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The role requires frequent physical activity, especially standing, lifting under 25 lbs., grasping, handling, finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, near and far vision, and depth perception. It also involves moderate amounts of sitting, bending, reaching, lifting heavier weights, carrying lighter weights, pushing, twisting, hearing, feeling, color perception, and eye-hand-foot coordination. Less frequent activities include walking, carrying heavier weights, climbing ladders, balancing, keyboarding, and pulling, while some activities such as climbing stairs, kneeling, crawling, hearing-other, and other physical requirements appear to be not applicable or left blank.
