The Service Valet/Porter is responsible for assisting the Service Department in managing vehicles and ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This is a fast-paced customer-focused role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to maintain a clean and safe service drive.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Drive customer vehicles to and from the service bay as needed.
- Assist with moving and parking vehicles in the service department.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and organized within the service area.
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service department and surrounding areas.
- Perform light maintenance tasks, including checking tire pressures and fluid levels.
- Provide assistance to technicians or Service Advisors as needed.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- The ability to drive a variety of vehicles including manual transmission and follow all safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Previous experience in an automotive setting or as a porter is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
