Building Materials Estimator (Part-time)

Experienced estimating specialist responsible for accurate takeoffs and pricing on more complex bids. Works independently and supports the estimating team on scope review and proposal quality.

Job Location:

Lindon, UT

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete complex takeoffs and pricing with minimal direction
• Analyze plans and specifications to confirm scope
• Prepare and review bid components for accuracy
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing and availability
• Support and guide less experienced specialists

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of building materials, plans, and specifications
• Ability to handle complex takeoffs and pricing accurately
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet bid deadlines
• Effective communication with vendors and team

Education & Certificates:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant education preferred
• Multiple years of estimating experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Work primarily in an office environment
• Sit and work at a computer for extended periods
• Occasionally visit jobsites or supplier locations
• Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing
