The role is critical to production, performing repairs and maintenance on heavy fabrication equipment. The candidate is mechanically inclined, a quick learner, familiar with OSHA, EPA, and local codes, has safe working habits, can weld, and has experience with cranes and hoists.
The maintenance mechanic must apply a high degree of proficiency and maintain the full trade skills.

Core Responsibilities- Repair and maintain shop machines and equipment
- Analyze problems with various equipment and machines.
- Recommend cost‑effective solutions.
- Have working knowledge of repair and maintenance on motors, controls, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Climb to do repairs without fear of heights.
- Keep work area organized and clean.
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
High school diploma or GED, and at least 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses- Equipment knowledge & skills – may include but not limited to various shop hand tools and maintenance repair equipment.
- Language skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence, such as repair orders.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; apply basic math concepts.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense understanding to detailed instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard and non‑standardized situations; learn things quickly.
