Position Overview:We are currently hiring experienced AZ or DZ Snow Plow Operators to assist with our snow removal operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operatinga heavy truck equipped with a snow plow attachment to clear roads. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and acommitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities:- Safe and efficient operation of spreader, plow wing, to perform snow removal on local roads as per the contract requirements,
- Maintain accurate documentation to complete the necessary paperwork,
- Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required,
- Familiar with performance requirements; understand route map and sand/salt applications,
- Meet call in requirements duringa winter storm event,
- Perform other duties as required.
- DZ or AZ license with a clean drivers abstract, and CVOR-D required,
- 2 years previous experience inwinter-maintenance operations,
- Available to respond to call-inswithin one hour,
- Ability to work assigned shifts,and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require,
- Mechanical knowledge, ability toperform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment considered anasset,
- Good understanding of MTOstandards,
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal),
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Competitive hourly wage of $40.00
CAD per hour. - $4500.00 CAD standby rate.
