Maintenance Electrical Tech 1st

Position Summary

We are seeking a well-rounded individual who can perform maintenance duties on a variety of industrial equipment. The maintenance technician will work independently at times and as a team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Safety First – Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain plant Electrical, PLC, Robotics, and Control systems.
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Identify and resolve problems before they become costly.
• Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills, performing basic tasks in maintenance software (CMMS).
• Required to maintain plant safety and housekeeping.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with maintenance staff and others.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Must be able to understand and complete work assignments.
• Must have welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, advanced electrical, and machining skills.
• Available after hours for down equipment, snow removal, or any other urgent plant items.
• Other duties as necessary.
• On call responsibilities.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

• Electrical/Mechanical degree or equivalent plus 5 years experience in a related field.
• High school diploma/GED and must hold a certificate or diploma.
• Willing to work overtime, Saturday & Sunday if necessary; must have a flexible schedule.
• Strong critical thinking and creative skills.
• Desire & ability to continuously learn & apply new knowledge/skills.
• Values teamwork & skills necessary to be an effective team member.
• Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience.
• Hands on experience in a maintenance or mechanical capacity.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools & techniques.
• Passion for quality workmanship.
• Passion for safety.
