Position Summary
We are seeking a well-rounded individual who can perform maintenance duties on a variety of industrial equipment. The maintenance technician will work independently at times and as a team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Safety First – Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.
EssentialFunctions
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain plant Electrical, PLC, Robotics, and Control systems.
- Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Identify and resolve problems before they become costly.
- Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing.
- Basic computer skills, performing basic tasks in maintenance software (CMMS).
- Required to maintain plant safety and housekeeping.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with maintenance staff and others.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be able to understand and complete work assignments.
- Must have welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, advanced electrical, and machining skills.
- Available after hours for down equipment, snow removal, or any other urgent plant items.
- Other duties as necessary.
- On call responsibilities.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Electrical/Mechanical degree or equivalent plus 5 years experience in a related field.
- High school diploma/GED and must hold a certificate or diploma.
- Willing to work overtime, Saturday & Sunday if necessary; must have a flexible schedule.
- Strong critical thinking and creative skills.
- Desire & ability to continuously learn & apply new knowledge/skills.
- Values teamwork & skills necessary to be an effective team member.
- Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience.
- Hands on experience in a maintenance or mechanical capacity.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools & techniques.
- Passion for quality workmanship.
- Passion for safety.
