Deburr Operator
The Deburr Operator performs final finishing operations on precision medical components and mandrels, using production machinery and hand tools to achieve high-quality surface finishes in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Perform final operations on medical components and mandrels, ensuring each part meets defined quality and finish standards.
- Load parts into production machines, start and monitor machine cycles, and adjust as needed to maintain consistent output.
- Apply spray polish and use Scotch‑Brite pads to complete the final finish on parts according to work instructions.
- Carry out deburring and polishing tasks using appropriate hand tools and equipment to remove sharp edges and imperfections.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers to inspect and verify part dimensions and finishes.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, repeatable results.
- Work safely and efficiently in a regulated environment, adhering to all quality standards and production guidelines.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally throughout the process to detect defects or nonconformities.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle equipment and tools with care.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hands‑on manufacturing or finishing role, preferably in a medical environment.
- Proven experience with machine operation in a production setting.
- Experience with deburring and polishing processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions accurately.
- Comfort working in a regulated environment with strict attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to use inspection tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and finishes.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods (8‑10 hours per day).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a medical device or aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience operating a manual lathe is preferred but not required, provided there is general machine operation experience.
- Familiarity with production, inspection, and medical device manufacturing processes.
- Comfort using hand tools and finishing materials such as Scotch‑Brite pads and spray polishes.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based in a very clean, organized medical manufacturing facility equipped with a lot of new, modern equipment. The site includes contemporary conference and break rooms, providing a comfortable and professional setting. Positions are offered as 1–2 month contracts, depending on business needs and individual performance, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a longer‑term role based on performance and organizational growth.
The facility operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, with a shift differential provided for second shift work. The environment is regulated and quality‑focused, and employees should expect to stand for most of the shift and perform physically active work in a structured production setting.
