The Account Receivable Representative performs accounts receivable duties to ensure timely and accurate collection of payments, daily reconciliation of cash and accurate reporting of receivables in accordance with Concentra policies, practices and procedures.

1st shift / standard business hours (Monday–Friday) - Work Environment: 100% onsite (in‑office)
- Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on level of experience and location
- Resolve escalated problems via communication with various customers including employers, insurance companies, TPAs, and labs.
- Process rebills and compose correspondence to customers.
- Monitor and review account aging reports to ensure timely collection.
- Review documents, reconcile discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform account payment reconciliations with incoming receipts.
- Prepare and distribute periodic reports on A/R and past‑due accounts for management and clients.
- Negotiate client repayment terms on past‑due accounts.
- Determine when to refer accounts for collection or write off.
- Train new employees and assist peers.
- Resolve employer issues such as misapplied or missing payments.
- Interact with clinics to resolve invoice charges or issues and secure supporting documentation.
- Monitor rebills for open balances and take appropriate action.
- Schedule and distribute work to meet deadlines and facilitate efficient workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least three years of demonstrated collection experience (occupational health preferred).
- Strong customer service skills and a tactful, professional approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication, time‑management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Logical problem‑solving skills with the ability to make decisions and propose solutions.
