Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a dedicated Metrology and Calibration Manager 3 for the Baltimore campus Calibration lab. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, effective communicator, technically proficient in the field of calibration, possesses a solid understanding of financial management, has experience working with both represented and non-represented union employees, and has expertise in process improvement methodologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership: Act as the key contact for senior leadership concerning Calibration and Metrology, showcasing strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to be both strategic and tactical in planning and execution.
Calibration Oversight: Own and manage the Mission Systems Calibration process, ensuring compliance with ISO/AS9100 standards and best practices. Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset to handle challenges effectively.
Management: Lead and provide technical guidance to the Calibration Product and Service Organization. Lead an adjudication of customer complaint. Exhibit excellent communication skills to convey technical guidance clearly.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets related to calibration services, monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations, and maintain financial targets. Utilize financial data to drive improvements and achieve business objectives.
Collaboration: Work with Operations, Engineering, and other business functions requiring calibration and asset tracking support. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to achieve common goals.
Operational Excellence: Apply job skills and company policies to complete complex tasks; oversee measurement processes, methods, and procedures for calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure quality. Implement strategies to streamline operations and achieve exemplary standards of service.
Compliance: Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3 standards. Demonstrate a proactive approach to stay updated with standards.
Database Management

Provide oversight and manage Sure Cal as well as TEAMMS Calibration database. Be detail-oriented to ensure accurate and effective database management.Union Relations: Engage and manage interactions with both represented (union) and non-represented employees, ensuring effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
