Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and maintain a Mission Ground Simulator (MGS) in MATLAB for our development, production, and on-orbit operational Space Radar Payload programs. This position is on-site in a classified program area in Linthicum, Maryland. Active TS and eligibility for SCI clearance is required. This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr.
Principal level based on the Basic Qualifications below.
- Development and maintenance of MGS MATLAB-based ground simulation (thermal, power, radar tasking, ground interfaces, tasking decomposition)
- Development of Mathematical Algorithm Requirement Specifications (MARS) that feed MGS and ground development
- Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
- Sr. Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
- MATLAB coding proficiency
- Simulation performance modeling knowledge and experience
Active TS clearance
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with Space Vehicle tasking
- Experience with Radar tasking
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Math
- Active SCI clearance
