Job Summary
Leidos is currently hiring a Sr Systems Engineer to support a complex, mission‑critical Information Assurance Program near Ft. Meade, MD. The successful candidate will develop and evaluate system engineering documentation, provide technical support for design, integration, and testing of components, and support DoD Certification/Accreditation processes.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform cybersecurity high‑assurance evaluation activities, reviewing security evaluation documents and ensuring devices meet security requirements.
- Attend relevant security‑related meetings and reviews, translating vulnerability knowledge into guidance to prevent and manage risk.
- Document security deficiencies and recommend requirement clarification and process/template improvements.
- 20+ years of System Engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or five years of additional SE experience may substitute).
- Information Assurance/Cryptographic experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead small teams.
- Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance required.
- Experience in Space/Weapon/Ground/Terminal system development and/or evaluation.
- Experience with DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (or other Government Certification and Accreditation processes).
- Experience in Space System Engineering.
