What You’ll Get To DoThe International Trade Compliance Analyst will be part of the Mission Systems Sector International Trade Compliance organization, supporting the Mission Systems Export Compliance Team, working to ensure compliance with export laws and internal processes that enhance foreign policy and protect national security.
- Manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain, and other business activities.
- Executes business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the U.S. government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
- Establishes operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments.
- Collaborates with various functional areas to develop and implement appropriate authorization strategies to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Assesses complex transactions and determines applicability of internal gate reviews, licenses, exceptions, and exemptions.
- Maintains applicable trade compliance records by regulatory requirements.
- Supports performance metrics for export processes.
- Represents the organization as a prime contact on complex contracts or projects, internal working groups, and capture activities; interacts with senior internal and external personnel on high‑visibility matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Exercises good judgment of when to seek management support and guidance as needed, including collaborating on decisions which have the potential to be high‑visibility or impactful.
- Develops and delivers presentations, including Export General Awareness training, program/function‑specific export training, lessons learned, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to division leadership.
- Provides mentoring to other ITC employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of international trade compliance experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
- Will consider 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree requirement.
- Prior experience with ITAR and EAR.
- Experience in assessment and application of export and import regulations and commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations.
- Experience preparing and administering Department of State and Department of Commerce licenses and agreements.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret‑level security clearance is required.
