Network Engineer ; Air Theory Information Technology Linthicum Heights, MD

Network Engineer III! Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

BS in technical field + 10 years' experience OR High School + 15 years' experience. Must be a US citizen.

• Perform Network Engineering tasks and functions.

• Configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Automate processes such as device hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and system monitoring of Windows and Linux servers.
• Climb ladders to install and troubleshoot sensor devices.
• Apply fixes, patches and upgrades in a timely fashion.
• Troubleshoot server issues.
• Administer customer accounts.
• Deploy monitoring tools.
• Deploy applications and tools.
• Assist with escalated customer tickets.

• Mid‑level Windows and Linux server system administration experience and knowledge. Minimum of 1 year experience with each of these two operating systems.
• VMware architecture administration experience.
• Knowledge of physical and virtual servers.
• Application administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Security+ certification.

• Hardware installation and cabling experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Network experience (architecture, switch administration, troubleshooting).
• Experience with AWS and virtual machines.

Salary varies based on Years of experience: $160,000-$170,000. A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
