Linux Systems Administrator

Security Clearance

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required. Candidates must currently possess this clearance level.

• Security+ certification
• 10 years of experience as a System Administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (5 additional years of System Administration experience may substitute for the degree)

• Creates and maintains Red Hat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
• Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
• Performs command-line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
• Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
• Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

• Apply patches and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot server issues.
• Administer customer accounts.
• Deploy monitoring tools.
• Deploy applications and tools.
• Assist with escalated customer tickets.
• Installation and cabling of equipment.

• Linux command-line system administration (CentOS, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
• Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
• Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
• Experience or knowledge of Red Seal Network Mapping tool (plus)
• Knowledge of software deployed on systems (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi) – plus but not required

• Syslog/Nx Log
• Nagios or similar monitoring applications
• Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Salary: $180,000 - $190,000 annually.
