Position: Principal Network Evaluator (NE-4)

Leidos is seeking a Principal Network Evaluator in our Intel Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area. This role focuses on computer network defense, identifying vulnerabilities, investigating threats, conducting security operations, and providing actionable recommendations to strengthen enterprise security and mission capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive computer network defense activities by analyzing systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities, detect intrusion, monitor security events, assess attack surfaces, and develop action plans to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools, analyze routing devices, traffic, and audit logs; conduct packet analysis; research emerging technologies and vulnerabilities; support digital forensics and exploitation analysis; document findings and produce comprehensive reports and recommendations for Government stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Government stakeholders to identify network vulnerabilities, investigate cyber threats, and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong networking knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Arista devices and protocols); analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with computer network defense, vulnerability assessment, incident response, packet analysis, SIEM technologies, and cybersecurity analysis.
  • Experience researching system vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Practical experience with Splunk, Elastic, Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar network analysis and SIEM tools.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
  • Desirable:
    Hunt/Blue Team experience; proficiency with Network Defense Integrity Methodology, digital forensics, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST cybersecurity frameworks, scripting languages.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, CISSP).
