The Post-Harvest Associate supports the processing of cannabis plants after harvest, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, focusing on trimming, drying, curing, packaging preparation, sanitation, and aspects of inventory tracking. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated production environment.
Job SummaryThe Post-Harvest Associate supports the processing of cannabis plants after harvest, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, focusing on trimming, drying, curing, packaging preparation, sanitation, and aspects of inventory tracking. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated production environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with harvesting, bucking, trimming (hand and/or machine), and defoliation
- Monitor and support drying and curing processes according to SOPs
- Weigh, sort, and label cannabis material accurately
- Prepare finished flower for packaging or transfer to manufacturing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of post-harvest rooms, tools, and equipment
- Follow all state cannabis regulations, internal SOPs, and safety protocols
- Accurately document activities, weights, and inventory movements in required systems
- Identify and report quality issues, contamination risks, or deviations from SOPs
- Support inventory counts, audits, and compliance checks as needed
- Work collaboratively with cultivation, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Assist in other departments or operational areas as needed based on business demands
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
- Previous experience in cultivation, agriculture, or related work is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable with physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive tasks, and frequent stair use.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Must be 21+ and meet all Maryland cannabis regulatory requirements for employment.
- Production facility with exposure to cannabis plant material and odors
- Fast-paced, regulated environment requiring precision and consistency
- Use of PPE as required (gloves, hairnets, facemasks etc.)
- Monday – Friday
- Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
