• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and similar manufacturers’ product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to operate low voltage equipment.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers or hard copy.
• Maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile devices or laptop computers.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete assigned inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.

• Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting company requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary small repairs.
• Ability to obtain and retain any required licenses for National, State, and Local codes.
• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical capability to lift and move equipment and tools up to 50‑70 lbs.
• Ability to work in unusual and potentially difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet, ducts, crawl spaces, and overhead spaces.
• Flexible work schedule, including occasional overtime.
• High level of customer service and teamwork.
• Self‑starter capable of working with supervision.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learning ability.
• Achieve NICET Level I certification within one year on the job.

• 1‑3 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems.
• NICET certification.

$22.00 – $33.00 per hour. Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market data. Exceptional candidates may command higher compensation.
