Mid-Level Software Engineer; Partial Telework

Glia Cell is seeking a Mid‑Level Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

• Heavily involved with the creation, maintenance, and running of Pig and/or PySpark analytics and is responsible for reviewing data ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the team.
• Focused on delivering reliable, accurate data to end users as well as ensuring day‑to‑day operations are successful, including investigating data arriving accurately into the system.

• Possess an active or re‑instatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (in‑scope poly, within 6 years).
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university; or four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted.
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Strong communication skills.

• Strong background in analytics development.
• Pig.
• PySpark.

• Patch management and IAVA tracking.
• Python, Java, Scala.
• NiFi, Ansible.
• Experience working in Agile environment.

Linthicum Heights, MD / Partial Telework (1 day per week). After 60 days from hire: 1 day on Wednesday/Thursday depending on prioritized productive work.

The salary range for this full‑time position is $115,000 to $190,000. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
