Position: Deputy Room Leader 14 pound 50 per hour

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our team, offering competitive pay at £14.50 per hour. As the Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2-3 years old.

Your responsibilities will include creating a safe and nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children, as well as fostering positive relationships with parents and caregivers. You will be instrumental in implementing age-appropriate activities and ensuring that the principles of early childhood education are effectively delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Room Leader in planning and facilitating engaging, educational activities that foster development.
  • Support and supervise nursery staff, helping to enhance their practice and confidence.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Build strong connections with children and families, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Step in for the Room Leader when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Participate in observations and assessments of children's progress and development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented individual who is dedicated to providing excellent care and education for young children.

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.
