Electrician – EV Charging

Volantes Technical Recruitment are looking for a qualified Electrician to install, test, and commission EV charge points. This is a field-based role with no fixed location, and you may be required to support projects across the UK. You should have strong electrical knowledge, good problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

A structured Electrician Level System is in place to support career progression. As you gain experience, qualifications, and skills, you will move through levels with corresponding salary increases.

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or completed apprenticeship
• 1-3 years' commercial or industrial experience
• C&G BS7671: 18th Edition
• Full UK driving licence
• JIB/CSCS Gold Card
• Strong communication skills

• Experience installing DC chargers (50kW-400kW+)
• C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
• SSSTS
• C&G 2919 (EV Charging qualification)

• Install EV charge points in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings
• Follow electrical designs, cable calculations, and manufacturer guidelines
• Work closely with the Qualified Supervisor and provide project updates
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Complete NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificates online
• Keep accurate records of installations and any remedial work
• Submit reports on completed work and any issues encountered
• Work with project managers and other electricians to ensure smooth delivery
• Attend training and team meetings to maintain industry standards
