Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, metal, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The successful applicant will contribute to a range of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial builds, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety are maintained throughout.

Responsibilities Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications to execute projects accurately. Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Installing structures such as doors, windows, flooring, roofing components, and cabinetry. Performing repairs and maintenance on existing structures to ensure safety and functionality.

Applying welding techniques where necessary to join metal components securely. Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times. Assisting with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment or techniques. Collaborating with colleagues to complete projects efficiently within specified deadlines. Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and productivity. Experience Proven experience in carpentry or joinery is essential;

previous work involving roofing or masonry is advantageous. Competency in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers alongside power tools including drills and sanders. Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction equipment operation is desirable.

Experience with welding techniques for joining metal components is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during project tasks. Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is a plus but not required for all roles. Familiarity with working on commercial or industrial sites will be considered an asset.
