Overview
Electrician – Cornwall operational, Commercial – Renewables projects. Permanent position with a salary of £38,000 - £42,000, van, tools and fuel card. A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as a commercial electrician.
Worklists may vary from site to site. Plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on‑site renewable energy and energy efficient systems. Working with a team (or teams) installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including:
- Solar PV
- Ground and air source heat pumps
- EV chargers
- Energy storage systems
- Installing and commissioning electrical systems.
- Running cables.
- Working with inverters.
- Communicating and working with design team, project managers and programming installation works.
- Running smaller jobs independently.
- Undertaking risk assessments to ensure safety.
- Liaising with clients, other members of staff or subcontractors on site.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Bringing any risks to the attention of company management.
- Completing all necessary job sheets, timesheets and other documentation as required.
- Taking responsibility for tools and equipment issued by the company.
- A driving licence is essential to this role.
- Provided with a company van and fuel card.
- NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 (18th Edition).
- JIB/ECS/CSCS card.
- 2391 test and inspection (preferable but not essential).
- AM2 (preferable but not essential).
- Previous experience as an electrician – essential.
- Previous experience within the renewables sector – essential.
- Good timekeeping.
- Good at dealing with clients.
- Conduct one's self professionally at all times.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
