Electrician

Overview

Electrician – Cornwall operational, Commercial – Renewables projects. Permanent position with a salary of £38,000 - £42,000, van, tools and fuel card. A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as a commercial electrician.

Worklists may vary from site to site. Plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on‑site renewable energy and energy efficient systems. Working with a team (or teams) installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including:

• Solar PV
• Ground and air source heat pumps
• EV chargers
• Energy storage systems

• Installing and commissioning electrical systems.
• Running cables.
• Working with inverters.
• Communicating and working with design team, project managers and programming installation works.
• Running smaller jobs independently.
• Undertaking risk assessments to ensure safety.
• Liaising with clients, other members of staff or subcontractors on site.
• Maintaining a safe working environment.
• Bringing any risks to the attention of company management.
• Completing all necessary job sheets, timesheets and other documentation as required.
• Taking responsibility for tools and equipment issued by the company.

• A driving licence is essential to this role.
• Provided with a company van and fuel card.
• NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 (18th Edition).
• JIB/ECS/CSCS card.
• 2391 test and inspection (preferable but not essential).
• AM2 (preferable but not essential).
• Previous experience as an electrician – essential.
• Previous experience within the renewables sector – essential.
• Good timekeeping.
• Good at dealing with clients.
• Conduct one's self professionally at all times.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
