Position Overview
The VP of Sales is responsible for driving dealer adoption of the captive finance company by leading sales strategy and field execution. This role ensures the captive is the preferred financing partner for dealers and a strategic growth enabler for the manufacturer.
Responsibilities- Leads dealer-facing sales activities across the United States
- Drives dealer engagement and loyalty as measured by finance penetration
- Establishes the captive as the financing source of choice for the International and IC dealer network through responsiveness, ease of use and delivery of customer value
- Leads and coaches a high-performing sales team
- Defines coverage models, performance metrics, and incentive structures
- Optimizes the Salesforce instance to drive field performance as well as grow organizational capabilities around data management
- Establishes clear sales targets tied to activities, penetration, and dealer satisfaction
- Balances acquisitions and risk through partnership with credit and treasury
- Resolves complex commercial issues quickly with a focus on protecting the International and its brands
- Maintains strong trust with International and IC leadership
- Tracks and reports key commercial metrics, including:
- Penetration
- Margin
- On Deal Percentage
- Maintains accurate forecasts
- Champions a customer‑centric culture across the IFin organization
- Influences without direct authority to drive outcomes
- Monitors customer, market and competitor activity to provide feedback to IFin and the Commercial organization related to the needs of potential customers and partners
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and dealers
- Bachelor's degree and at least 11 years of sales experience, plus at least 6 years of management experience.
- Master's degree and at least 9 years of sales experience, plus at least 6 years of management experience.
- At least 14 years of sales experience, plus at least 6 years of management experience.

Desired Skills- Prior industry experience is a plus
- Demonstrated track record of sales success
- Understanding of the customer's business
- Ability to work cross‑functionally to achieve desired results
- Must be consultative
- Possess strong verbal & written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to work with various software programs (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth and ever‑changing environment
- Open to extensive travel
