Global Demand Planning Intern - Summer 2027

Molex, a Koch company, is seeking Demand Planning Interns for summer 2027 in Lisle, IL or Rochester Hills, MI. The GSOP Demand Planning Internship role is a 12-week, entry level training program and is one of the future talent pipelines for Molex business functions. This program will allow entry level talent to get training and exposure to various cross-functional capabilities while mutually creating value.

Interns engage in sessions that introduce various areas of our business and participate in coordinated networking opportunities with leadership to broaden their learning horizons. We enable and advance the skill and capability building for a quicker impact when employees are hired into their full-time role.

What You Will Do

Molex’s internship program offers exposure to a variety of business functions and capabilities across Molex’s GSOP Capabilities. Throughout the program, interns will own a strategic project aligned with business initiatives in planning, strategy and analytics, etc. The project will be matched with the skills and interests of the intern.

Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit our customers and stakeholders through improving our process and services. These are just a few key aspects of our internship program.

• Demand Planning Support
• Assist in collecting and analyzing historical sales data to support accurate demand forecasting.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather market intelligence and demand inputs.
• Help update demand plans and track forecast accuracy.
• Supply Planning Support through Demand Planning
• Work with supply planners to review planning strategy and inventory levels.
• Help identify potential constraints and recommend solutions to meet demand.
• Assist in reporting information for supply plans to be aligned with demand forecasts and business goals.
• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Use Excel, Power BI, Snowflake and supply chain planning tools (Kinaxis) to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory health, and service levels.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
• Support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing planning efficiency and accuracy.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university.
• Available to work full-time throughout the 12-week Summer 2027 internship.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

For this role, we anticipate paying $27/hour.
