Estimator - CB

The Estimator will be responsible for pricing all aspects of projects, complying with project designs, and maintenance of project budget and schedule. It is the Estimator’s responsibility to plan and foresee possible costs to the company for each project and to competitively and effectively produce bids that are timely, cost efficient, and profitable for the company.

• Review RFP documents, drawings, specifications, attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate walkthrough’s, etc. to determine project scope of work and required contents of estimate deliverable.
• Work with clients and their representatives to establish preliminary construction budgets.
• Conduct hard bid solicitations and prepare bid packages.
• Solicit and coordinate subcontractor bids and supplier quotes for labor, material, and equipment to meet project specifications and budget requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop an estimate prior to subcontractor input.
• Compare and level subcontractor bids against in-house budget.
• Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules as required.
• Work with Sales and Administrative personnel to validate accurate information going to contract.
• Work with Directors, Project Managers, and Superintendents for project turnover meetings.
• Assist Operations with subcontractor buyouts when needed for negotiated projects.
• Complete post-bid analysis on unsuccessful bids with Sales team.
• Participate in training and mentorship of new Estimating Department personnel.
• Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep of our internal Estimating templates.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
