Customer Service Specialist
Our customer service division is at the heart of our operations, partnering closely with customers, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and business teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business results.
This newly created role supports the continued growth of Molex's hyperscale and AI-related business. Working with global teams and strategic EMS partners, you will help support leading technology and cloud infrastructure customers while solving complex supply chain and customer challenges. This is an opportunity to create value for customers and Molex while contributing to one of our fastest-growing market segments.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with internal and external customers daily via email, phone, and Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Support the order management process, including pre- and post-order activities such as order entry, order maintenance, expedites, customer inquiries, new product introduction (NPI) activities, and escalations.
- Support strategic EMS and hyperscale customer accounts, including Tier 1 subcontractors, with a focus on supply chain execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer demand, forecasting, order activity, and operational metrics to identify potential risks and drive resolution before customer impact occurs.
- Manage customer portals and ensure timely updates regarding order status, supply availability, demand changes, and business-critical issues.
- Partner with sales, planning, manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain teams to coordinate customer requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead coordination efforts for customer escalations by gathering information, facilitating cross-functional action plans, and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global teams and utilize reporting tools, business systems, and customer data to support customer requirements, business continuity, and informed decision-making.
- Understand customer contracts, service expectations, and business requirements to ensure successful execution of account strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency through automation or technology solutions.
- Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting customer accounts, order management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related business operations through employment, internships, cooperative education programs, or other relevant experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Experience managing multiple priorities, customer requests, or business activities simultaneously.
- Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding business issues, order status, customer inquiries, or operational matters.
- Experience analyzing information, investigating issues, and coordinating resolution across multiple stakeholders.
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education credential.
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting customer accounts, order management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related business operations.
- Experience supporting customers within a manufacturing, electronics, EMS, supply chain, logistics, or technology environment.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM platforms.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
- Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) or product launch activities.
- Experience managing customer portals and reviewing customer demand forecasts.
- Experience supporting global customers, subcontractors, or complex supply chain networks.
- Experience utilizing reporting, analytics, or process monitoring tools to identify risks and improve customer outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
