- Full Time, 1.0 FTE
- Starting August 2026 for entire school year
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in the Lisle, Illinois area. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed. You’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team.

- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
- Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
- Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
- Valid Illinois State teaching license (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- School-based experience preferred, not required
Benefits apply to 0.8 FTE and above after a short waiting period.
