SASED in Lisle, IL Area - Starting at the beginning of the school year, for the entire school year
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in alignment with their IEPs
- Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments to guide instructional planning
- Adapt materials into accessible formats such as braille, large print, and tactile graphics
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student access and success
- Support development of independence, assistive technology use, and compensatory skills
- Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college or university in Special Education or related field.
- Hold or be qualified to hold an Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL) in Visually Impaired.

- Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
- Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
