Teacher of the Visually Impaired

  SASED in Lisle, IL Area
• Starting at the beginning of the  school year, for the entire school year

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in alignment with their IEPs
• Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments to guide instructional planning
• Adapt materials into accessible formats such as braille, large print, and tactile graphics
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student access and success
• Support development of independence, assistive technology use, and compensatory skills

• Bachelor's degree from regionally accredited college or university in Special Education or related field.
• Hold or be qualified to hold an Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) in Visually Impaired.
